To get the slide cleared before peak Winter, road work delays are changing starting Monday Nov. 1. From 7 am to 7 pm, travelers can only travel on the stretch from about 8 miles East & 10 miles West of the park at 7:30 a.m., 12:00 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. From 7 pm to 7 am every day and all day Sundays, the road is open without pilot cars (there is one way lane control). It's not clear yet how long this new schedule will last.
